We need an ambulance! 10-year-old girl saves her dad’s life with video on Facebook
A BRAVE schoolgirl has been hailed as a little heroine after posting a video on Facebook that saved her dad’s life.
Quick-thinking Brianna Vance, 10, was distraught when a huge tree crashed into her family home during a storm, trapping her father Gregory and two of his pals on a porch.
Gail-force winds knocked out the mobile phone system in Logan County, West Virginia – leaving Brianna’s family unable to call for help because they do not have a landline.
As Gregory lay stricken with his life ebbing away, Brianna (pictured above) turned to the power of social media – posting a tearful video on Facebook in which she begged for help.
“The lightning crashed and hit a tree by our porch and my dad’s almost dead,” she cried. “He needs an ambulance, please. Please call one for us if you have signal.”
Amazingly, the schoolgirl’s post was seen by firefighters who came to the rescue and freed her dad and his pals. Gregory is now recovering after suffering from a broken back, broken ribs and a shattered shoulder.
The good news is that Gregory is expected to make a full recovery. Meanwhile, Brianna had a special message for him: “I hope you get well soon, because you’re the best dad I could ask for,” she said.
